Aims and Objectives

The aims of the Catalan Association of Patients, Friends and Users of Homeopathy are the following:

1 –  Guarantee freedom of choice for everyone in managing their health care.

2 –  Disseminate the contributions of homeopathy to the largest number of people possible to ensure that the aforementioned freedom is exercised from the availability of the best information.

3 – Bring homeopathy within reach of all communities that might benefit from it. Specifically, to guarantee access to homeopathic medicine for the general public.

4 – Consolidate and broaden acknowledgment of homeopathy among the people and public institutions.

5 – Foster the sharing of experiences among our members in matters of health care.

ACPAUH was founded on the following premises:

1 –  Homeopathy constitutes a fundamental contribution to the history of medicine and the wellbeing of patients in Catalonia and elsewhere in the world. It is not banned in any country and it is included in the social security coverage of a significant number of adavanced countries, such as France, Austria and Switzerland.

2 –  In the mid-term it would need to be included fully fledged within public health services of every country, in accordance with recommendations made by the WHO.

3 –  Until homeopathy can be added as part of public healthcare services, it is necessary to support every initiative that may be carried out aimed at providing treatment based on homeopathy to all of those people who wish to have it.

4 –  The spirit of collaboration promoted by this association will extend naturally to all other associations of the same nature. A federation of such associations can only bring forth a strengthening of individual efforts and initiatives promoted by each member, by going for coordinated action.

Brief description of Activities

In order to attain these goals the association will carry out the following activities:

1 –  Organise courses, workshops, talks. Produce written documents and audiovisual files.

2–  Respond to a wide range of queries and requests for information regarding homeopathy. Provide support for homeopathic medical practice.

3 –  Be active in public debates, particularly in the media and to do with issues dealing with the scope of hompepathic intervention.

4 –  Collaborate with every department of public administration in the defence of people’s rights to access complete, unbiased information on the nature and the capabilities of homeopathy. Furthermore, defend the rights of all people to receive homeopathic treatment if they consider they need to, and their right to access unhindered in any way remedies that require this type of treatment.

5 –  Carry out any other activities agreed upon by the Association’s General Assembly in accordance with the rights and duties of its articles of association.
